NASHVILLE, Tenn. – May 4, 2022 – Tennessee is known for its music, scenic beauty, culinary scene and outdoor adventures. The state is also home to unique stories, fascinating creatures, and discoveries. Use the Force to explore these Tennessee science museums and attractions.
Town of Johnson – Downtown Johnson City will be transformed into a galaxy far, far away to celebrate all things Star Wars. the goose chase will host a May 4and Be with you 4K at King Commons Park. There will also be a May 4and Sip, shop and stroll. Discover your favorite Star Wars characters, shop at downtown merchants, and enjoy free themed drinks and snacks at each participating business.
Gray – 2022 marks the 35and birthday at Hands on! Discovery Center. Be part of the historic celebration with their mosaic project. Other exhibits and activities include Discovery Lab, Paleo Tower, Tesla Theater, Kinetic Wall, and Imagination Playground.
Pigeon forge – Enter the upside down world and over 100 interactive exhibits to WonderWorks Pigeon Forge. Discover six wonderful zones of family fun, including extreme weather and space exploration, climb obstacles in the glow-in-the-dark indoor ropes course, and experience a whirlwind adventure in the 4D XD Motion Theater.
Knoxville– Dive into an augmented reality sandbox, relax in the fairy tale forest, build with LEGOs and enjoy the sounds of the musical garden and interact at the STEM station at The Knoxville Muse.
Clinton– Science and history come to life. the American Museum of Science and Energy explores the history of Oak Ridge from the Manhattan Project to how it changed the world. AMSE Science and Exhibits spotlight smartphone technology, 3D printing, supercomputing, and life-saving cancer treatments through interactive, hands-on exhibits and special events.
Chattanooga– Discover the curiosities of the world through games, immersive exhibits and hands-on activities in the heart of Chattanooga at Creative Discovery Museum. Science and art collide in Barsamian’s unique and surreal exhibition of sculptures. To verify special events as Sensory Night.
Murfreesboro- Try surfing, snowboarding, a climbing canyon or a flycycle at Discovery Center. The “Course! To jump! Fly! Action Adventures!” exhibition runs until May 22. Other permanent exhibitions include “5 Senses”, “Waterworks”, “Nature Play” and more.
Nashville– Step into a family workshop, “DIY garageto explore engineering, math, and construction as you build your own creation. Tools and materials are provided; just bring your imagination. Adventure Science Center is closed on Wednesdays but check it from May 5th.
clarksville – The newly renovated Explorers Landing exhibit offers hands-on educational experiences to Customs Museum and Cultural Center. Create giant bubbles, learn the science behind cave formations, send race cars down a ramp and more.
Union City- “Discovery Steampunk: A Fantastic Hands-on Adventure“, a new exhibition America’s Discovery Park, uses this subgenre of science fiction to provide children and adults with a fun opportunity to learn about the humanities, science, technology, engineering, and math. It includes robotics, photography, automation, sculpting and hands-on learning.
Memphis– Memphis Museum of Science and History has something amazing to discover for all ages. Marvel at prehistoric fossils and ancient relics, gaze at galaxies at planetarium shows, and walk on the wild side with native wildlife
