Marmalade Visions: A Trio Exhibition Featuring Sun Park, Kevin Sabo, Will Hutnick at Soft Times Gallery in San Francisco – August 4, 2022

Soft Times Gallery is pleased to present “Marmalade Visions”: a dazzling, evocative and lyrical exhibition featuring the works of Kevin Sabo, Sun Park and Will Hutnick. This exhibition includes the unique painting and installations of the 3 artists, who play together through patterns and colors in unexpected ways.

The Soft Times Gallery seeks to present the works of these 3 talented emerging contemporary artists in a way that highlights the curious and surprising ways in which their works coincide and complement each other.

About the artists:
Will Hutnick is an artist and curator based in Wassaic, NY. He earned his MFA from Pratt Institute and his BA from Providence College. Hutnick is a 2021 NYSCA/NYFA Artist in Painting Fellow, as well as a past recipient of grants from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation and the Foundation for Contemporary Art.

Sun Park is a visual artist based in San Francisco, California. The environments she creates invite viewers into a deeply intimate inner space, an embodied space that exists beyond symbols. Without foundation or single point of origin, his work leaves room for the unknown and appeals to the viewer’s intuition. Park is currently pursuing her MFA at San Francisco State University, where she taught digital art and co-founded the Art Student Union.

Kevin Sabo is a painter currently based in Richmond, VA (USA). He trained and studied art throughout his youth and earned a BFA in Studio Art from James Madison University in 2015. His paintings are typically multi-media – acrylic, ink, spray, collage work extensively figure-based, often playing with character and fashion. Themes of queer identity, satire, existential revelations can be spotted throughout her expressive work. Sabo describes his paintings as large sketches, as they are never predetermined before the final result.

MARMALADE VISIONS OPENS AUGUST 4, FROM 6 TO 9 PM
Soft Times Gallery: 905 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94109
